Capital City Partnership

Capital City Partnership
The Capital City Partnership (CCP) exists to combat poverty and disadvantage in Edinburgh. It brings together key statutory, voluntary, community and private sector organisations to promote change and joint working for community regeneration. Drawing on the expertise of the staff team and its partners, CCP identifies the key issues for the city and encourages organisations to change and develop a culture of working together. By gathering evidence of the issues to be addressed and promoting solutions based on what we know to be effective we lead positive and sustainable change, from development through to implementation of services in a range of settings.

Getting people back into work is one of our main priorities and CCP has developed the Joined Up For Jobs strategy and childcare and enterprise programmes to achieve this. CCP contributes directly to building stronger safer communities working with our partners to develop integrated services at neighbourhood level, making a real impact on local communities. We are working to reduce poverty through financial inclusion and income maximisation as well as supporting people into employment programmes. Recognising the importance of a good start in life CCP works with schools and voluntary organisations to improve the outcomes for Edinburgh’s most disadvantaged children through childcare, employability, school and arts based initiatives.
